About the Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1995 .Our department has been accrediated by NBA and NAAC. Department is headed by Dr.R.KANTHAVEL We have 31 faculty in our department. The faculty are members of professional bodies like ISTE,IEEE,IETE and CSI. Our department has state – of the- art VLSI, Networking ,Microwave and Communication Engineering ,Embedded ,Research and development Labs.

Programme Educational Objectives [PEOS]

The PEO's of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Programme is to enable the students to :
To facilitate students with the rigid foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals required to solve engineering problems.
To train students in the design of analog and digital electronic circuits and devices.
To promote students to work as communication and networking engineers.
To develop the ability among students to work on multidisciplinary projects.
To promote student awareness on management skills, professional ethics and human values.
 
Programme Outcomes

Students in the Electronics and Communication Engineering program, at the time of their graduation, are expected to have :
An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering.
An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
